Welcome To APICS NYC-LI Chapter!
Presidents Message
Dear APICS Members and Guests,
Thank you for attending our PDM this past Tuesday where we featured the talented and very knowledgeable Mr. William Wahlig of LIFT.
Our collaboration with LIFT was highlighted in his presentation as was the many opportunities our chapter and student chapter members have had to benefit from this relationship.
In Bill's presentation he touched on all the crucial activities LIFT is pursuing with all their strategic partners; industry leaders, government, academia, and other associations like APICS NYC/LI. Together we can all work towards Long Island future to help sustain and maintain the innovation and knowledge base we are so proud to have.
LIFT’s program includes activities that educate, promote, attract, stimulate, develop, and expand science and technology oriented economic activities on Long Island and throughout the State.
We are honored to partner with LIFT on these endeavors and so very thankful for Bill Wahliq’s presentation. Fantastic presentation, Bill and thank you from the APICS NYC/LI Board of Directors and all of our members.
As mentioned at this PDM, our chapter would like to thank John Vogt who has served on our board as Director of Tours and who is also the President of the Stony brook Student Chapter since he is moving to DC and pursuing opportunities at George Washington University. Must also congratulate him on his recent engagement. We wish him much success and received from him a guarantee that he will attempt to come back and serve our chapter in the future. Thank you John, Best Wishes.
Please be advised we are currently taking nominations for our board positions so if you are interested in joining us please let us know as soon as you are able.
Our next Professional Development Meeting will be June 5th.
Best Regards,
Jill O’Sullivan
President
