Back to Basics!

Sometimes it is important to keep simple, simple. With the power of computers and the multitude of applications and professional publications to choose from, many practitioners can quickly become overwhelmed when determining the best approach for solving everyday inventory problems.

This Professional Development Meeting will focus on inventory performance. Specifically, how to apply a few simple, but core “tricks of the trade” methodologies and very quickly learn where to put your hands on in order to assess your company’s inventory and rapidly move to the point of making important recommendations.

We all know how fast the world moves today – the expectation is that you can make a quick and relevant assessment in order to best leverage your company’s critical asset – inventory! When you’re called on to provide your action plan, will you be ready?

Covered concepts include:

  • Establishing an ABC breakdown, annualized spend versus sales velocity
  • Evaluating inventory turns and setting attainable targets
  • Identifying excess inventory
