Speakers and Panel Members:

Mr. Ron Tabbitas heads up and is responsible for program interface with the Supply Chain on the RADAR product-lines for Telephonics Corporation; located in Farmingdale, N.Y. Ron brings with him thirty (30) years of experience in subcontract management and material services. The Telephonics Supply Chain Management Team has been credited for the execution of many highly successful supply chain programs which involved complex supply chain integration and high volume production ramp-up demands within extremely compressed prime customer schedules. Ron and the Telephonics Supply Chain Management Team are responsible for the end-to-end management and control of the critical Supply Chain and sustainment of a robust and fully compliant US Government approved procurement system. Ron started his career in the Defense Industry at Grumman Corporation in 1982 where he held positions in the stockroom, warehousing, and logistics. In 1987, Mr. Tabbitas became a Buyer for Grumman after completing an immersive Grumman/US Government sponsored procurement training program. Ron left Grumman in 1992 to work for Loral Corporation (later Lockheed Martin and finally BAE Systems) as a Sr. Subcontract Administrator where he remained from 1992 to 1997, enjoying positions of increasing responsibility, including Subcontracts Supervisor, his final position before moving to Telephonics Corporation in 1997. At Telephonics, Ron served as Manager of Subcontracts and was promoted to Director in 2008. Ron is also an Adjunct Professor of Business St Joseph’s College on Long Island where he leverages his advanced skills and experience by instructing courses including Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain Management at the graduate level.  Ron is committed to growing talent within the local community, as well, and is an active industry liaison with regional academic research institutions and technology incubator systems, working closely with both students and scientists to translate new technologies to the marketplace. His efforts have led him to develop targeted training and certification programs for students with both the Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) and Stony Brook University College of Business to address both current and future industry skillset needs, including innovative competencies required for the emerging energy efficient, alternative housing, and renewable energy industries. Ron holds a Bachelor and Master’s Degree in Management from Dowling College, in Oakdale, NY.
